Make way as over 1,500 hot rods and classic cars and trucks roll into downtown Springfield, IL September 25 - 27, 2009 to celebrate the 8th Annual International Route 66 Festival & Car Show.
Its a celebration of "All Things Automotive"...both past, present and future that will kick off Friday Night, September 25th with the Route 66 City Nights Cruise from the Capital City Shopping Center Parking Lots at 6pm.
Feast your eyes on over 1,500 vehicles from across the U.S. in the Show-N-Shine area, meet legendary car builders, the RingBrothers, bid on one of the many high dollar classic cars at the Saturday Classic Car Auction and shop the Performance Marketplace all weekend long.
Don't miss the live music from the '50s, '60s and '70s all weekend long on two stages. Featured entertainment includes The Hit Men, the Groove Daddies, Captain Rat & The Blind Rivets, Springfield's Elvis and more!
Check out feature cars by legendary custom car builders, the RingBrothers all weekend. Take a kid to car show to wow them, plus they will love the improved Boys & Girls Club of Central IL Family Fun Zone, Abraham Lincoln mpersonators, clowns, face painting and Much More!NEW THIS YEAR! A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Illinois.
