The Truck & Jeep FestŪ A Big Hit in Second Year.

(Indianapolis) A full weekend of 4x4 action came to the Canfield, Ohio Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27. The Truck & Jeep Fest Presented by 4 Wheel Parts and 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, returned for its second year offering enthusiasts great entertainment and competitive events.
A great exhibition of monster trucks was staged as the legendary Grave Digger and Bigfoot took to the Monster Truck Thunder Drags course at the Truck & Jeep Fest. Other top monsters included Raminator and Rammunition from Hall Brothers Racing and Pro Comp.
Nearly 600 participants and over 10,000 spectators streamed into the Canfield Fairgrounds over the course of the weekend. Over 125 vendors were on hand in a huge performance marketplace providing the latest parts and accessories to the 4x4 enthusiasts.
The competition on the specially designed obstacle course at the Canfield Fairgrounds included the Tough Trucks® Challenge. Jeff Dedick, won the timed event with a best run of 16.03 seconds. Coming in second was Sonny Dohrmund at 16.68 seconds. Third place in Tough Trucks went to Ken Petersen with a time of 16.97.
The Mud Bog winners by class were: Class 1- Ernie Herzog; Class 2- Michael Hinten; Class 3- Dale Sprow; Class 5- Rick Heinze Jr.; Class 6- Ken Holler. The burnout contest winner was Rick Heinze Jr.
In the Show N' Shine competition, Mike Maffettowe of Putnam, NJ picked up "Grand Champion Jeep" for his CJ-5.
Tommy Ventilli of Mt. Carmel, PA won the "Grand Champion Truck" award for his Ford F-250.
