From Lincoln, NE to Ames, IA
Depart East Gate on State Fair Park Dr, for .6 miles
Turn Right (East) onto US-6 / Cornhusker Highway for 28.7 miles
Turn Left (North) onto US-6 / SR 31 for 11.7 miles (you will come to a T outside Gretna)
Turn Right (North) onto US-30 until you get to Blair, NE. At the stoplight in Blair turn right to stay on US-30 for 25.6 miles. Cross Missouri River bridge (welcome to Iowa).
Detour from original route begins four miles north of Logan, IA on US-30. NOTE: This detour is due to high water - PLEASE follow the DOT's detour signs.
Detour! Turn right on Iowa State 44. continue east approx. 20 miles to Harlan, IA
Detour! Turn left / North at four-way stop at US 59/23rd St. in Harlan, IA.
Proceed North on US 59 for 37 miles to Denison, IA.
Welcome to Denison. Stop and enjoy the hospitality courtesy of Denison.
Veer left to continue on US-30 (Northeast). Stay in left lane in Denison.
Detour! (ROAD construction - PLEASE follow these directions)
In Glidden, Iowa, turn right (south) on County Road N44 for five miles.
Turn left (east) on County Road E53 for nine miles. Turn left (north) on Iowa Highway 25 for one mile.Turn right (east) on County Road E53 for nine miles.
Continue east through Jefferson, IA on Lincoln Way / County Road E53 for 7.5 miles.
Turn left (north) on Iowa Highway 144 for 1 mile.Turn right (east) on US 30. CONGRATULATIONS - You are back on the route....
At exit 142 - right lane and will automatically merge going East onto W Lincoln Way for 5.5 milesTurn Right onto University Blvd for .6 milesTurn Right onto S 4th St.
